Dear Grown Up

Welcome to the second week of Horrid Homework, designed to be fun for everyone, including you!

This week’s brand new podcast episode is here,  check out Henry’s Happy, or should that be Horrid, Days duet with Sean (it doesn’t last long) and catch up with another new story, Name Game, in which Peter and Henry battle it out for the right to name their newfound pet.  Perfectly timed for National Pet Month.

No-one is going to need to fight over what to call their pet this week; our Homework theme is Fang and Fluffy’s Purple Pet Patrol and there are plenty of pets to go round.  Each of the daily activities from Monday to Thursday require very few resources – pencil, crayons and some paper or a notebook – along with a lot of imagination!

And if you need any more inspiration, our very own director Gary Andrews is busy creating a whole world of curious creatures.  You can find him on Twitter or Facebook, his live drawing sessions are highly recommended, and he tells us that The Big Draw gives him inspiration, they even have a whole section devoted to endangered species, well worth checking out.

Oxford United in the Community have got some brilliant Twitter challenges here for football fans, and if you’re looking for some downloadable colouring in fun you can find it here.

Littler ones might like to watch Nodding Dog with the Fimbles and

Like A Rolling Stone from the Roly Mo Show.

As this week’s a short one we’ll be doing a special video to mark VE Day,  which you can catch on Henry’s YouTube channel from Thursday.

We’d love to hear what you’re up to this week, especially if it involves doing Horrid Homework - you can find us at all the usual places below, using #HorridHenryUnlocked and #HorridHenry - stay safe and stay in touch!
